Pitt and Fissure Sealant Placement Course

4 hours didactic, 2 hours clinical training

Course Description

In this one-day sealant course in Chicago, students will learn the theory and application of pit and fissure sealants procedures in theory and with clinical practice.

Course topics and procedures include: tooth morphology, dental anatomy, medical emergencies, ethics, law, and armamentarium, and infection control during procedures.

PITT AND FISSURE SEALANT PLACEMENT PREREQUISITES & REQUIREMENTS

Be at least 18 years of age , hold current CPR card
AND
(2a) Complete 1,000 hours of clinical dental assisting experience
OR
(2b) Complete a CODA-accredited dental assisting program
OR
(2c) Hold a current national DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) Certification
